I’m really into crystals and healing and spells and herbs and so on.
What sorts of books, or websites might I be able to get or visit to learn about all the different things you can do that revolve around those things.
I’m pretty sure there is a religion or large following about those things I just don’t know what it is called.
PS
I’m really in to it because my grandmother was. When she passed away I was able to take some of her old things like crystals she’s bought, an energy wand and another crystal that is on a chain (i’ve been told its for scrying or something?!)
Crystals, healing, spells, meditation, tarot, herbs, OBE’s, psychic abilities
all things I would love to read about!

Pagan religions are into this stuff…also the New Age movement people. I would google it myself. Here you are going to get some people telling you this stuff is “evil” or telling you you are crazy for believing in it.

Visit the New Age section of any bookstore.
Paganism is a belief system that deals with these things. There are numerous religions under that heading.
You can Google witchcraft, Paganism, Wicca, Druidry, Shamanism…etc.
Do you know what path your grandmother walked?
A crystal on a chain is a pendulem. It is used in divination. Depending on the direction of the swing is what your answer will be.

Can you tell me whether pyramids really sharpen knives and razor blades or do they take them back in time to when they were brand new?
Thank you,
Rose P.

The general “label” for the practices you are describing is Witchcraft. Witchcraft does not denote any specific religion as one can practice it and be any religion or no religion at all. Using herbs and crystals and the like does not necessarily go hand in hand with bringing religious beliefs into it.
There are a lot of religions that many who practice those things might be - many of them are Pagan religions.
I’m not sure about websites (I don’t generally like to get that kind of info from the internet) but there are several very good books on those subjects.
For herbs I would recommend Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs by Scott Cunningham and The Master Book of Herbalism by Paul Beyerl. Both are very good sources.
For crystals, one of my favorite books is A Kaleidoscope of Crystals by Melody. It is a pretty big book and contains information on the uses of a ton of crystals and stone. There is also Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Crystals, Gems, and Metals (the name is something like that) by again by Scott Cunningham.
There’s another book by Cunningham titled Earth, Air, Fire, Water that might be interesting to you as well.
You might also like some of the books by Ted Andrews. If you have a metaphysical or Pagan type store in your area, those are all common books and you can probably find them there. If not, just look on amazon.com and read the descriptions and reviews to see if those look interesting.
To find the types of stores I’m talking about, try, choose your state and then you can find stores under Local Shops.

The best piece of advice that I can give you is to read. Then read, read, and read some more.
Herbs? The Complete Holistic Herbal by David Hoffman is an invaluable guide to the basuc properties of herbs. Cunningham’s Book of Incense, Oils and Brews is great from a magcal sense.
There’s an awful lot of dross out there as well as some really good stuff.
Book wise - Look out for anything by Kate West, Scott Cunningham and Marion Green. Another book its so important to read is “The Triumph of the Moon” by Ronald Hutton.
In relation to crystals? The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. Get a good basic knowledge of the stones before you start to work with them.
Website wise?
Hope this helps.
Enjoy the journey!
