I think u should ask the doc before u use any medicine. I advise u to have a try on a site called bikerkiss. There are many motorcyclists there. Maybe someone once had the same experience with u. U can ask them for help.

Aussie's aloe with lidocaine helps sooth the burning and speeds healing.

If I were you, however, I would check with my physician. With that much damage, you need to be aware of deeper repair.

Here is some additional information:

Everything has changed recently in the treatment
of road rash recently. The old solution was to
scrub clean the wound with hydrogen peroxide
then slather on the antibacterial ointment. Now,
they say to clean the wound without scrubbing then
place a loose, breathable bandage over the area. (see URL below)

This from a biker:
"Duoderm (over the counter from medical supply stores) works wonders. It's a bit pricey, I think about $50 for 10 sheets of it, but it is definitely worth it.

From my crash last year, the scars are completely healed (it did take about 8 months for them to completely go away, but completely go away they did). You have to put the Duoderm on soon after the crash, but it heals the wounds to pretty much the scar point after a week. It was kinda crazy watching my wounds heal pretty much right before my eyes. I'd say for future road rash, check it out."

I would ask the docs before trying anything. You don't want to put something on these burns, and then have them get infected. I would think they would have you on either oral antibiotics, or using a topical antibiotic (or both.) For general burns, I've found aloe vera gel is very soothing, albeit temporary.
